Zenshen is about the need to find space, balance & relaxation within the context of modern living. Finding this is sometimes hard to do. Life is both busy and demanding.

My yoga journey started in 2008 whilst travelling in Canada. Over time I developed an appreciation of the mind-body connection and through my practise, honed a deeper sensitivity to the energy-body. I knew I wanted to work in body therapy.  Since then I have completed a Level 4 Diploma in Yoga Teaching with the BWY, a 3-year Diploma in Shiatsu with the Northern School of Shiatsu, and a Certificate in Performance Development Coaching. After a successful 15 years practising Marketing and Group Facilitation within Corporate Finance and Technology markets, in 2016, I decided to change career. This has brought me to where I am today, a self-employed Shiatsu Therapist, Yoga Teacher and Well-being practitioner.

I am a believer of caring for the truest self with compassion and kindness. For me, this is a foundation for being the best version of myself in the world. It means creating the right opportunity for exploring deepest values, developing awareness of self and others, and taking time for action, rest, reflection and play in equal measure. Balance is a very important value to me.

I use intuition, empathy and listening in pursuit of understanding. Zen Shiatsu, Yoga, Group, or Individual Coaching, provide the services by which some, or all of the above elements are explored and brought to harmony.

Shiatsu and Reiki

Shiatsu is a body treatment that helps a person to relax and move into their own natural state of rest, repair and digest. It can be practised both in sitting and lying down positions, fully clothed, accommodating the needs of the client and their comfort and mobility.

Yoga, to me, is a way of encouraging people to come back into their bodies. Helping them to move in ways that build a bridge between the mind, body and breath.  Exploring movement patterns whilst becoming present, helping to reduce stress, to relax and unwind.

About me

I’m a believer in making self-care and well-being a primary concern. Some may call it selfish, however, remember that old adage ‘put on your own life-jacket first’. The modern world is stressful. Yoga, Shiatsu, Meditation, have been essential tools that have helped me to return to balance. That’s why I do what I do, because these things work, they make us feel grounded and whole again.
